A collection of historical documents, records, and artifacts that are preserved for their cultural, legal, or historical significance. They serve as vital resources for research and education, allowing individuals and communities to access their past and maintain a connection to their heritage.

Tonia Lewis

Archivist

Tonia’s passion for preserving rural Utah history began while working at USU’s Special Collections and Archives and while supervising and managing academic libraries. Tonia has over 25 years experience with website design, graphic design, photography and marketing.


• As SCAHS webmaster she will design and manage our “History Hub” digital archive website making Sevier County’s history accessible online.


• Coordinate with Sevier County Commissioners, SCAHS Board of Directors, SCAHS History Specialists, and the SCAHS Advisory Board


• Oversee public relations

Heritage Services encompasses the initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting the historical and cultural assets of Sevier County, ensuring that the unique stories and legacies of our community are accessible to all. Through our dedicated efforts, we foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of local history, connecting residents and visitors alike to the rich tapestry of our shared heritage.

McKay Chamberlain

History Specialist

McKay is an Instructional Designer and Developer, specializing in instructor-led training, online learning course design, and video production.


• Organize, train and support mayor appointed city historians


• Direct the sorting, processing and digitizing of collected stories and records


• Interact with Youth Storytellers History Club


• Encourage and provide educational presentations
